Shelia Faye Phipps Cyphers, age 54, of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at her home following a lengthy illness. She was born in Jewell Ridge and was the daughter of Glenn Phipps of Jewell Ridge, Virginia and the last Nellie Arnold Phipps. She was a life long resident of the area and enjoyed fishing and loved her family.

She especially loved Christmas and the excitement that came with the holidays. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kevin Phipps. Survivors are: Husband, Johnathan I. Cyphers Father, Glen Phipps and wife, Jennifer of Jewell Ridge Virginia Daughters: Kayla Renee Phipps of Cedar Bluff, Virginia Allisyn Noelle Phipps of Richlands, Virginia Sons: Jonathan Gabriel Phipps and wife, Angela of Jewell Ridge, Virginia Jacob Israel Cyphers and wife, Ashley Sisters: Glenna Phipps of Richlands, Virginia Sharon Phipps of Richlands, Virginia Brothers: J.P. Phipps of Jewell Ridge, Virginia Richard Phipps of Jewell Ridge, Virginia Grandchildren: Maggie Lynn Phipps, Abigail Francis Ruth Miller, Jonah Israel Cyphers, and Raylan Maxwell Funeral services for Shelia Cyphers will be conducted Friday, December 7, 2018 at 11am at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev.

Allen Gross officiating. Interment will follow at the Phipps Family Cemetery on Bearwallow near Jewell Ridge, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Richard Phipps, Daniel Phipps, Phillip McGlothlin, Eric Phipps, Christopher Phipps, and Barry Sargent.
