Steven Ray Grigsby, 65, died unexpectedly in Celebration, Florida on September 1, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was born October 2, 1952 to Cleveland and Dorothy Grigsby. He married his loving wife Deb Logsdon on January 30, 1971.

He had retired from spending 40 years as a teacher and school administrator and served 8 years as a member of the Clay Community Schools school board. He is survived by his wife Deb, mother Dorothy, and children Holly Bell (Bryan), Matthew Grigsby, and Ashley Swearingen (Brison) all of Brazil, grandchildren Michael Doan, Brody Bell, Bailey Bell, and Madison Swearingen, great-grandchildren Jordan Doan, Layton Doan, and Lynlee Doan, brother Ron Grigsby (Fonda), sister Karen Phillips (Yancy), brother-in-law Randy Logsdon, and sister-in-law Vicki Skiwski (Jacob). He was preceded in death by his father Cleveland, father-in-law Herman Logsdon, mother-in-law Estelle Logsdon, and sister-in-law Melody Logsdon.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Clay Youth Food Delivery Program C/O YMCA of Clay County 225 East Kruzan St. Brazil, Indiana 47834. Visitation will be at Lawson – Miller Chapel 1702 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834 on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 4-7.

Services will be at the funeral home, on Friday at 7:00pm followed by masonic services performed by the Spencer Masonic Lodge. Visit www. lawson-millerchapel.com to light a candle in his memory.
