Melody Ann Patton, 62, of Coal City, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018 in Exceptional Living Center of Brazil. She was born in Indianapolis on July 21, 1956, the daughter of Patsy Cook Stewart. Melody loved to go mushroom hunting, bird watching and fishing.

She was an avid reader and a loving wife and fantastic mother. Survivors include her loving husband of 42 years, Dwight Patton; a son, Craig Patton; her daughter, Holly Patton; a brother, Terry Stewart; a sister, Rhonda Patterson;… Read More » and several nieces and nephews. Melody was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Rick Stewart.

Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 PM Thursday, October 18, 2018 in Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 301 E. 8th Street, Clay City with Pastor Terry Cano officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Private burial will be in Beech Cemetery, Coal City.
