Barbara Jean (Weaver) Brown, 86, of Staunton, Indiana, passed away at home, surrounded by her family, on September 1, 2018 following a battle with a rare lung cancer. She was born on August 16, 1932, in Clay County, Indiana the daughter of Robert L. and Mary Catherine (Phillips) Weaver. She graduated from Staunton High School.

As a young girl she worked for Pierce Orchard and G.C. Murphy. She married Rev. William Brown on February 3, 1951.

She was a member of Community Missionary… Read More » Church which she loved very much. Barbara enjoyed knitting and taking care of others. She taught Sunday School at Community Missionary Church for many years.

She loved taking care of her family and supporting her husband throughout his ministry. She enjoyed painting, working with ceramics, and crocheting stocking caps for newborn’s to donate to local hospitals. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Rev.

William E. Brown and an infant grandson William Gayle Timberman. Survivors include two daughters Toni Timberman and husband Danny and Janet Nicoson and husband Keith; grandchildren: Brian Timberman and wife Amy, Brandon Timberman, Cole Nicoson, and Andria Buck and husband Darren; great-grandchildren: Braden, Tyler, Bella, Jaylee, and Karsyn; a brother Ronald Lee Weaver and wife Diane; two nephews Alan Weaver and Ryan Weaver. Visitation will be at Lawson – Miller Chapel, 1702 East National Ave.

Brazil, Indiana 47834 on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 11-1pm. Services will be held at the funeral home at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery.
