Steven “Steve” Winter, 29, lifelong resident of Grand Island, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 from 5 to 7 at All Faiths Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Pastor Adam Snoberger will officiate. Burial will follow at Pibel Lake Cemetery. All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements Steven Douglas Winter was born on March 3, 1989 in Grand Island, Nebraska.

He was baptized, confirmed, and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Grand Island. He graduated in 2008 from Grand island Northwest High School. After high school, he pursed college at Grand Island Community College, along with Southeast Community College in Lincoln, Nebraska- for Computer Engineering.

Steven was wonderful at sales at Sears, and Hastings Grain Inspection, along with a few other places. Of all his employment, he was most proud of working along the side of his father, Doug, at DTS. Steven enjoyed his dog, Nikki, listening to music, watching movies, playing the guitar, riding his three-wheeler.

He worked on cars and trucks of all kinds, but Mopar was his specialty. His talent fixing computers and electronics was admirable. Steve could be quiet but was always worth listening to.

His voice brought peace to his family and they were proud of Steven. Steven is survived by his parents, Doug and Deb Winter of Grand Island; sister, Christina (Brandon) Schneider of Lincoln; Niece, Ella Schneider; maternal grandfather, Henry Rudolph of Merriam, Kansas; many aunts and uncles along with numerous cousins. Steven was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Malvin and Lorne Mae Winter; and maternal grandmother, Rosemarie Rudolph.
