Obituary of Thomas Michael Rousse Thomas Michael Rousse, 73, of Kawkawlin, our hard-working and strong-willed husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend went home to be with the Lord on the evening of Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Toni & Trish House in Auburn. Tom was born in Bay City on January 11, 1945, the son of the late Ernest and Virginia Rousse. He went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Army.

Throughout life, Tom was known for his love of nature and the outdoors, and especially enjoyed feeding the birds and deer. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing. While working at St. Mary’s, Tom met the former Linda Hawkins, who survives.

They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on March 20, 1992. Tom also leaves to carry on his legacy, his children: Brett Rousse, Todd (Jennifer) Rousse, Brian (Julie) Rousse, Garrett (Tiffany) Rousse, Kristy (Mike) Moore, Candy Akin, Steve (Amy) Akin, and Christopher Rousse; grandchildren, Faith, Janessa, Gage, Hannah, Claire, Keaton, Austin, Peyton, Brianna, Brian, Cameron, Matthew, Grace, Carter, Kasen, Olivia, Carson, Gabriel, Melissa, Michael, Brenden, JJ, along with many great-grandchildren. Tom is also survived by his brother, Kenneth (Nancy) Rousse; sister-in-law, Veronica Rousse, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased by his brother, Duane Rousse and in-laws, Orville and Evelyn Hawkins. Tom’s family will be present to receive visitors on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 10:00 AM until Tom’s 11:00 AM Life Celebration at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd. , Hampton Twp.

Chaplain Doug Bassett will officiate with a reception to follow in The Wesley Room at Skorupski’s. Interment will be held privately in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Toni and Trish House or Heartland Hospice, both of whom the family would like to thank for their compassionate care.
