Vernon O. Nilsson, 80, passed away July 12, 2018 at Plymouth Rehabilitation and Health Care Center after a brief illness. Born March 6, 1938 he was the son of the late Carl Oliver Nilsson and Eileen Dorothy (Bolinder) Nilsson. He attended Brockton High School, Class of 1957.

He played football for Brockton High School and was a Navy Veteran. Vernon had lived in Brockton, Plymouth and Kingston. He had many various interests and loved to talk to people about them.

His interest were many, including animals, tools, sports and people. He was like a “Walking Encyclopedia”. He worked in the family business “Nilsson – Stewart Fence Company” and later in years he worked for Stop and Shop in Kingston.

He is survived by a sister Jean Silva of Carver; 3 brothers Bruce Nilsson of NH. , David Nilsson of Plympton and Jeffrey Nilsson of Brockton and several nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. Vernon will be sadly missed by his family.

Memorial Visitation will take place on Monday, July 30, 2018 from 5-7 PM with a Memorial Service at 7:00 PM in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford St. Lakeville, MA.
