Obituary for Wallace Edward Beddard Sr. Ayden – Wallace Edward Beddard, 70, died Tuesday, June 19, 2018. The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018, 2:00pm at Elm Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church. Dr. Frankie Baggett will officiate.

Burial will follow in Ayden Cemetery. Wallace lived in the Littlefield Community for the majority of his life. He was a member of Elm Grove Church, a Purple Heart recipient during the Vietnam War, and a 20 year employee of Dupont.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.T. Beddard, Jr. in 1999 and Elma Hines Beddard in 2005. He is survived by his sons, Tim Beddard and wife, Lori, of Ayden, Eddie Beddard and friend, Daria Mitsas, of Greenville, a sister, Sandy Tillman and husband, Bob, of Wrightsville Beach, brothers Johnnie Beddard and wife, Sandra, of Ayden, and Wesley Beddard and wife, Kaye, of Angier, and grandchildren Blake Beddard and Alexis Beddard, step grandson Bradley Elks and wife, Ashley. The family will receive friends before the funeral service on Friday, June 22, at 1:00 at Elm Grove Church and at other times at 437 East Littlefield Road, Ayden.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Elm Grove Original F.W.B. Church Building Fund, 5413 Weyerhauser Road, Ayden, NC 28513 or the Elma H. and John T. Beddard, Jr. Family Endowment at the University of Mount Olive, 634 Henderson Street, Mount Olive, NC 28365.
