Wanda Lancaster Reed, age 72, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 3:03p.m., Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Lucy Smith King Care Center under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. Wanda was a member of Crossroads Christian Church where she was baptized in recent years. She had a true green thumb and enjoyed working in her flower beds.

Wanda had a close group of girlfriends; they called themselves “The Golden Girls”. They loved spending time together, whether it was a night out dancing or a trip to the beach. More than anything, Wanda cherished her grandchildren and the memories that they made together.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Reed; parents, Howard and Correne Lancaster; grandparents, Jake and Cora Parrish, and Neil and Grace Lancaster. Survivors include: Daughter, Kelly Burris and her husband Jim; Son, Darrin Reed and his wife Becky; Sister, Martha Stone and her husband Wayne, all of Henderson, KY. ; Four Grandchildren, Zachary Burris, Kaylee Reed, Kyle Reed, and Koby Reed.

; Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to Wanda’s Life Celebration from 4:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. Monday January 28, 2019, and again on Tuesday starting at 11:00a.m. at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev.

Patrick Garcia officiating. Burial will follow at Fernwood Cemetery in Henderson, KY. Pallbearers: Zachary Burris, Kyle Reed, Koby Reed, Lawrence Reed, Terry Reed and Timmy Reed.
