Wayne’s Obituary Schoharie (Schoharie County): Wayne R. Parks 70, of Rickard Hill Road Schoharie, NY passed away suddenly on Sunday January 27th at his home. Wayne was born February 18, 1948 in Gallupville, NY a son of James S. and Henrietta “Sally” (Coons) Parks. He graduated from Schoharie High School, class of 1967 and began a long career in the retail food business.

He retired as Manager at the Gloversville P&C Foods many years ago. Wayne enjoyed his time playing golf, softball and socializing with his friends. Survivors include his wife, Carol (Wainwright) Parks whom he married May 1, 1971, his children; Michelle Parks (Jay) of Schoharie, Danielle Croote (Matt) of Walpole, NH and Sonia Croote of Schoharie, 4 grandchildren; Allison, Theodore, Nadira and Isaac, his siblings; James (Cindy) Parks of Schoharie, Roxanne (Mark) Sutton of West Monroe, NY, Colleen (Ron) Marsh of Charlotteville and Scott (Tina) Parks of Schoharie along with several nieces and nephews.

Wayne was predeceased by his parents. A period of visitation will be held from 11AM to 1PM on Saturday February 2nd at the Langan Funeral Home, 327 Main St. Schoharie where a funeral service will be held at 1PM following the visitation. Burial will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Parks to Scho-Wright Ambulance Service, PO Box 325, Schoharie, New York 12157.
