William E. O’Neil, 90, of Bradford, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the Bradford Regional Medical Center. He was born on January 7, 1928 in Olean, NY, the son of the late Edward and Nellie O’Neil. He attended Bradford Area Schools.

Mr. O’Neil enjoyed going on road trips with his wife and working the family blueberry fields on Seaward Avenue. He was the former owner of O’Neil’s Service Center, Bradford. He is survived by one son, William A. (Alex) O’Neil of Bradford; two daughters, Fay (Paul) Turner of Myrtle Beach, SC and Mary (John) Pegher of Pittsburgh; ten grandchildren; thirteen grandchildren; one great great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

He considered Valerie Abers (one of the ten grandchildren) and her husband Brian as two of his own children. In addition to his parents and wife he was also preceded in death by one daughter, Judith Shick. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Mascho Funeral Home, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday at the St. Bernard Catholic Church with the Rev.

Raymond Gramata as celebrant. Entombment and military honors will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
