Albert Neal Sweitzer, 88, of Oakland, MD, died Sunday, September 9, 2018, at Garrett Regional Medical Center, Oakland. Albert was born April 2, 1930, and was preceded in death by both of his parents; two step-sons; and numerous brothers and sisters. He worked for the railroad, working on tracks and enjoyed hunting in his spare time.

He was a U.S, Army veteran of World War Two and was a former member of the Proctor-Kildow American Legion Post 71, Oakland. He is survived by one step-son; three step-daughters; a sister, Clara May, Grantsville, MD; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Drive, Oakland, on Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Friday, September 14, 2018, at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Russell Liller officiating.
