CASTLEWOOD, VIRGINIA – Alonzo C. “Papaw” Fraley, 94, died Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at NHC Healthcare, Bristol, Virginia. He was born in Castlewood, Virginia; son of the late Alonzo and Rausey Turner Fraley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie Joan Fraley.

He was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church. He is survived by one daughter, Nancy Woods and husband, Mike of Castlewood, Virginia; one son, Robin Fraley and wife, Beth of Gate City, Virginia; three grandchildren, Amelia Nicole Thorpe, Kendra Woods, and Emmily Woods and fiancé, Dustin Hines; five great grandchildren, Lily Thorpe, Jane Russell, Clinton Russell, Annaleigh Dockery, and Robyn Russell; two step grandchildren, Heather Russell and James Russell; several nieces and nephew. Funeral Services for Alonzo C. “Papaw” Fraley will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2019 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev.

Leonard Ferguson officiating. Committal Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2019 in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia. Family and Friends will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery leaving at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Family and Friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2019 in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Virginia. On line condolences may be sent to the Fraley family through our website and a video tribute may be viewed at www.
