CONNELLY SPRINGS, NORTH CAROLINA – Claude Odell Phillips, Sr., 64, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at his home following a period of declining health. He was born in Dickenson County, Virginia; son of the late Laborn and Beulah Kiser Phillips. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie Phillips and James Phillips.

He was previously employed as a CNC Router Operator in the furniture manufacturing industry. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Lampkins Phillips; one daughter, Amanda Hensley of Lenoir, North Carolina; two sons, Claude Phillips, Jr. of Granite Falls, North Carolina and William Phillips of Connelly Springs, North Carolina; two brothers, Harry Phillips of Dante, Virginia and Shaler Phillips and wife, Annemarie of Hildebran, North Carolina; two sisters, Barbara Lowe and husband, Newman of Palm Beach, Florida and Debra Keith and husband, Johnny of St. Paul, Virginia; two grandchildren, Stephanie Hensley and Charles Hensley, Jr.; one great grandson, Owen Hensley; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Claude Odell Phillips, Sr. will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev.

Larry Phillips and Rev. Darrell Milgrim officiating. Interment will follow in Phillips Family Cemetery, Phillips Hollow, Trammel, Virginia.

Pallbearers will be Family and Friends. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019 in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Virginia. On line condolences may be sent to the Phillips family through our website and a video tribute may be viewed at www.
