AnnaMae’s Obituary AnnaMae Paulson——81, Minot, formerly of Glenburn, ND, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019 in a Minot hospital. AnnaMae Hauge was born on October 16, 1937, a daughter of Harry and Anna (Barnec) Hauge in Van Hook, ND. She was raised and educated in the Van Hook area, and was part of the first graduating class in the New Town School in 1955.

She furthered her education by attending Business College. On March 31, 1956, AnnaMae was united in marriage to Lavern Paulson in New Town, ND. Three children were born to this union: Kermit, Kevin and Kathy.

They made their home in Minot where AnnaMae worked at Woolworths Department Store and then the Americana Nursing Home. In 1966, they moved to Glenburn, but AnnaMae continued to work for the Americana Nursing Home. She went to work at the Officers Club on the Minot Air Force Base from 1969 until 1975.

AnnaMae was then re-employed at the Americana Nursing Home from 1975 to 1985, first as a Nurse’s Aide and then as the Activities Director. From 1985 to 1988, she worked in home health for Renville County. From 1988 until retirement in 1999, she assisted Lavern in the operation of the Cenex C-Store and Cenex Anhydrous & Fertilizer plant in Glenburn.

Following retirement, AnnaMae and Lavern continued to work part-time during the spring and fall seasons at the Cenex Anhydrous & Fertilizer plant until complete retirement in 2004. In 2009, they moved to Minot. AnnaMae was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Glenburn.

She was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, attending as many of her grandchildren’s activities as she could. Together, AnnaMae and Lavern enjoyed traveling, going to various casinos, taking many leisure drives, and following the Minnesota Twins. AnnaMae will be lovingly remembered by: her husband of 62 years Lavern, Minot; Children: Kermit (Yvette) Paulson, Devils Lake, ND, Kevin (Lynn) Paulson, Williston, ND and Kathy (Daryl) Enget, Minot; Grandchildren: Jamie (Wes) Soper and their daughter Rylee, Surrey, ND, Dylan Enget, Williston, ND, and Katarina Paulson and her daughter Octavia, Devils Lake, ND; Bonus Grandchildren: Allison Palmer, Kelly (Bob) Potter, Jen Enget, Matt (Megan) Enget and their families.

Those also left to cherish her memory: Her siblings: BernaDean Grendahl, Newcastle, WY, Pat (Raven) Hauge, Liberty Hill, TX, Arlyss (Clint) Long, Wolf Point, MT; brother-in-law Larry Rhoads, Billings, MT, and sister-in-law Pearl Lee, Hauser, ID; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her parents-in-law Ole and Hilda Paulson; a grandson Chris Paulson; sisters: Vonee Porteen, Joy (and her husband Dale) Morin; brothers-in-law: Minor Grendahl and Dywaine Paulson; sisters-in-law LaVon (and her husband Steve) Orluck and Myrna Schuman. Visitation: Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 4 until 7 pm at Thompson Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

The family will be in attendance from 6 to 7 pm, followed by a short family service. Funeral Service: Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 11 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, Glenburn, ND. Burial: Glenburn Community Cemetery, Glenburn, ND.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in AnnaMae’s memory to the Trinity Lutheran Church of Glenburn, ND. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Giving Hearts caregivers, Trinity Health doctors and staff, and Trinity Home Health staff for the love and care given to AnnaMae during the past few years.
