Obituary of Beverly Beebe Beverly Ann Beebe, age 83, of Painted Post, formerly of Horseheads, NY passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Corning Hospital. Beverly was born on October 9, 1934 in Humboldt, Iowa, the daughter of the late Bliss A. and Dorothy V. (Knop) Beebe. She served in the United State Air Force during the Korean War, serving from 1953 to 1960 as a First Sergeant.

She was a Professor of Health Education and Physical Education for Corning Community College, retiring with over 27 years of service. She was a member of the Big Flats American Legion, a member of the Scholarship Committee for the N.Y.S. Women’s Bowling Congress since its inception, part of the Corning Women’s Bowling Hall of Fame, Corning Sports Hall of Fame and the N.J.C.A.A. Bowling Coaches Hall of Fame. Beverly and Connie had a wonderful life and a beautiful home in Big Flats.

She was known for her green lush lawn – never a blade of grass out of place. Beverly and Connie enjoyed summers in their lovely home in the Adirondacks on the river in Indian Lake, NY. They took many trips out west to visit relatives and enjoyed the sites.

Beverly was an animal lover, she had beautiful persian cats and many wonderful border collies over the years. She was a great friend and she was admired for her dry wit and straight forward honest approach to life. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by cousins: Paula Williams, Penny Johnson; nieces: Suzanne Kosick, Lisa Curtis, Michele McSorley; brother and sister-in-law; Peter and Carol Vail; close friends: Mary Gail Lee and Nancy Williamson. In addition to her parents, Beverly was predeceased by her partner, Connie Williams in November of 2008. A Celebration of Beverly’s life will take place at a later date.

Carpenter’s Funeral Home, 14 E. Pulteney St., Corning has been entrusted with the arrangements.
