Donald D. Macino, 79, of Vandergrift, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 in AHN-Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. Born November 17, 1938 in Vandergrift, he was the son of the late Ubaldo “Eba” and Antoinette (Petrarca) Macino. Don lived in Vandergrift all of his life, and was a graduate of Vandergrift High School.

He enjoyed cooking, loved going to his family reunions, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brother, William J. Macino. He is survived by his nieces, Jean (Denene Kinney) Macino of Pasadena, Maryland, Susan (Michael) Crusan of Apollo; nephews, William J. (Loretta) Macino, Jr., Daniel Macino of Washington Township; 4 great nephews and 2 great nieces.

At Don’s request there will be no viewing. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church, Vandergrift at a later date this summer. Burial will take place in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Vandergrift.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brady-Curran Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Vandergrift, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Don’s memory to St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church 303 Franklin Ave. Vandergrift, PA 15690.
