Obituary for Elizabeth Ann “Beth” Clare Elizabeth Ann “Beth” Clare, 70, of Grand Island passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018. (Correction in time of service) Memorial service and celebration of her life will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, at First Faith United Methodist Church. The Rev.

Dr. Trudy Kenyon Anderson will officiate. A gathering of friends and family will be from 10:00 until service time. Burial of ashes will be at a later date in Lake Amelia Cemetery, Villard, MN.

Beth was born July 5, 1947, in Glenwood, MN, the daughter of Maurice and Joyce (Anderson) Clare. Most of her childhood was spent in Riverdale, North Dakota and Omaha. She had many happy memories and some of the best were the times spent on the farm visiting her grandparents with her family at Villard, MN.

She attended Benson High School in Omaha and graduated from NE Wesleyan University where she was a member of the Phi Mu Sorority. Beth taught second grade at Dodge School in Grand Island for four years before staying home with her children. She later worked for Mid-Nebraska Individual Services, Bethphage Center for Independent Living and K-Mart.

Beth was a member of First Faith United Methodist Church, active in United Methodist Women and also attended Trinity United Methodist Church. She would like to be remembered as a person who praised God, loved Jesus and thanked the Holy Spirit for being with us during the trials of our lives. Always positive and optimistic, Beth loved to be with friends and family.

Her giving nature led her to care for and help out several individuals. She was a member of several groups, including Parents Without Partners, TOPS and her Bridge groups. Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Jeff Dondlinger of Grand Island, Joe (Jasmine) Dondlinger of Lincoln, Jeremy (Sara) Dondlinger of Boston, Mass.

, and John (Maud) Dondlinger of Elkhorn; ten wonderful grandchildren, Grace, John Thomas, Peter, Jehanne, Matthew, Felix, Samuel, Daniel, Valeria and Matias; sister, Connie (Marcel) Bollier of Kansas City, MO; brother, Lawrence (Karyn) Clare of Villard, MN; brother-in-law, Chuck Neumann of Omaha; and special friends, Lynne Coates and Alice Gray. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; and beloved twin sister, Kathy Neumann. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to First Faith United Methodist Church or ChildFund International.
