Freida M. Weisser, 85, of Wrightsville passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. She was married to Albert H. Weisser, celebrating their 66th wedding anniversary this past October. She was born February 28, 1933 in East Prospect to the late Kervin and Edith (Forry) Dietz.

Freida was a 1951 graduate of Red Lion High School. She retired from the payroll department at Donsco, Inc She was a longtime member of Wrightsville Hope United Methodist Church of Wrightsville.

Freida was a breast cancer survivor and received personal comfort in helping others through the American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery Program. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Patti L. (Weisser) Gable and her husband, Buzz of Columbia; grandchildren, Lauren E. Gambler and Andrew D. Gable, husband of Mindi; and great grandchildren, Sawyer and Rosalie Gambler. She was preceded in death by her son, Henry J. Weisser, III; brothers, Millard, Paul, Elton, and Cloyd Dietz; and sisters, Ethel Hoffman, Martha Hyser, Ruth Frey, and Clara Tome.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Wrightsville Hope United Methodist Church, 404 Hellam Street, Wrightsville, PA 17368 with her pastor Jerry Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Wrightsville. A visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wrightsville Hope United Methodist Church, 404 Hellam Street, Wrightsville, PA 17368.
