Mary H. Gunsch, 89, of York, died on January 11, 2019 at her home. She was the wife of the late Henri P. Gunsch. Mary was born in Indonesia on October 17, 1929.

Mary was a homemaker and was a member of P.E.T.A. She is survived by three children, Dea Herman of Emigsville, Rosanna Sheffer of York and Douglas Gunsch of Dover; three grandchildren, Nicole Cramer, Derek Sheffer and Evan Sheffer; three great grandchildren, Aleister Oldhouser, Melina Sheffer and Serena Sheffer; and two brothers, Jan and Leon Landegent both of Holland.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 East Market Street, York. A visitation will be held Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the SPCA of York County, 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406 or to PETA.org.
