Jack Robert Brown, age 73, of Frankton, passed away at his residence on Sunday, June 3, 2018, following a brief/extended illness. He was born on July 8, 1944, inAnderson to the late Jack and Dorothy (Hudson) Brown. On May 26, 1988 he married Mona (Moore) Brown.

Jack retired in 1986 from the Anderson Police Department where he had worked as a police officer and a K-9 officer for 22 years. When he was younger, Jack’s family owned Brown Recreation in Anderson and he worked there for several years. He was a member of Central Christian Church in Anderson and was the Town Clerk and Treasurer in Frankton for 6 years from 2011-2017.

Jack was an avid bowler having rolled 3-300 games. He was a gun marksman, enjoyed playing golf, and enjoyed sitting outside watching birds. More than anything, Jack loved his grandkids and was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, of 30 years, Mona (Moore) Brown of Frankton, 3 sons, Timothy R. Brown, Patrick M. (Amy) Brown, and Adam Triplett, daughter, Carrie Triplett, sister, Patty (Richard) Glaze, brother, Tom Brown, 3 grandchildren, Kate Brown, Madeline Brown, and Jayden Triplett, and several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his father, Jack Walton Brown, mother, Dorothy Brown, brother, Kenny Brown, and special cousin, Ron Brown. Funeral services will be private and are entrusted to Harper and Dunnichay Funeral Home in Frankton.
