Michael E. Preston, age 69, of Frankton, passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Community Hospital in Anderson. He was born on April 22, 1949 in Minford, Ohio, to the late Roy E. Preston and Anna Adkins. Michael was a graduate of Fontana High School in Fontana, California and proudly served our country in the United States Air Force.

He attended Ironwood Bible Methodist Church. Michael enjoyed fishing and watching science fiction movies and westerns. Michael is survived by son, Michael E. Preston II, granddaughter, Carrie Preston, sister Diann (husband Rick) Stapleton, nephews, Mitchell E. Preston,Jr.

, Rob Preston, Frank R. Stapleton II, David J. Stapleton, Nathan Preston, Seth Preston, Vincent Stapleton, and niece Angela Preston, several great nieces and great nephews including special great niece, Victoria Stapleton and special great nephew, Gabriel Stapleton, and several special friends. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Mitchell E. Preston and an infant brother who died at birth. Funeral services will be at 2:30 pm on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home in Frankton with Pastor Jason Lindahl officiating.

Burial will follow in the K. of P. – I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Frankton and will include funeral honors by members of the United States Air Force Honor Guard and members of the Elwood V.F.W. Visitation will be Monday, June 11, 2018 from 12:30 – 2:30 pm prior to the funeral service at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
