Jack’s Obituary Jack Wesley Martin, 77, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. The family will receive friends between 6 and 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Church of the Good Shepherd at 1007 Burnett St. in Wichita Falls with Rev.

John Munson, Rev. Kenneth McKenzie, and Rev. Michael Grubbs, officiating.

Interment with Masonic graveside service will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls. Jack was born on November 21, 1941 to the late Jack and Lena (Kinder) Martin in Altus, Oklahoma. He graduated from Grandfield High School in 1959 and furthered his education, graduating from the University of Oklahoma School Of Pharmacy in 1964.

While in Oklahoma City, he met the love of his life Janis Skidmore and the couple married on July 18, 1964. In 1967, the couple moved to Wichita Falls to pursue his dream of opening his own pharmacy. Jack owned and operated Jack’s Pharmacy in Wichita Falls for 18 years, before moving his pharmacy to Iowa Park, where he retired in 2016.

Jack was a very dedicated member of the Iowa Park Rotary Club, OU Alumni Club, Faith Masonic Lodge #1158 and Iowa Park Masonic Lodge #713. He loved playing golf, being an avid OU football fan and attending his grandchildren’s school functions. Jack will be missed by his family and many friends.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Janis Skidmore Martin; daughters, Kristin Morris and companion, James Little and Jamie Betts and husband, Allen; brother, Gerald Martin and wife, Deborah; 6 grandchildren, Wesley Alexander, Garrett Morris and wife, Haley, Grace Morris, Gavin Morris, Kelsey Alexander, and Kyrsten Hoffman and husband, Josh. The family suggests memorials may be made to the Iowa Park Rotary Club, 806 N. 3rd St. Iowa Park, Texas 76367, Hospice of Wichita Falls 4909 Johnson Rd, Wichita Falls, Texas 76310, or St. John the Divine Anglican Church 1000 S Berry St, Burkburnett, Texas 76354.
