Jacob C. “Jake” Kiser, 35, of Kepple Hill, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018 after years of struggling with his demons. Born July 10, 1983 in McKeesport, he was a son of John H. (Jeri Scarr) Kiser of North Apollo and Debbie J. (Jon) Altmire of Kiski Township. Jake lived in the Kiski Valley his entire life and was a 2001 graduate of Apollo-Ridge High School.

Jake loved spending time with his son, especially their hikes through the woods. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, David and Helen (Shusta) Kiser and his maternal grandparents, David “Jake” and Pauline (Hobbs) Jacobs. In addition to his parents, Jake is survived by his son, Damian J. Kiser of Edmond; step-sisters, Emily (Armando) Munoz of Los Angeles, Andrea (Johnny Roman) Altmire of Saltsburg; and his dog, Buster.

Family and friends will be received in the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 100 Owens View Avenue, Apollo, on Tuesday, July 31st from 5:00 p.m. until the Celebration of Life Tribute Service at 8:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
