Lois Jane Meanor Kilgore , June 14, 1941 — July 03, 2018

Lois Jane (Meanor) Kilgore 77 years old went to be with God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ on Tuesday July 3rd, 2018. Born June 14th, 1941 she was with the love of her life and husband of 60 years Ralph Kilgore, Sr. when she passed. Lois and Ralph lived together in their Allegheny Township home for over 47years.

Lois was a longtime member of Hebron Lutheran Church in Leechburg serving on many church committees. She enjoyed bowling for many years and especially in the Knight Hawks Couples League.

She served many years as a distributor of meals for the Vandergrift Meals on Wheels and her presence and willingness to listen to others and support them in their time of need will be greatly missed by many. Lois loved to sing hymns and crocheted afghan’s for each of her grandchildren. She avidly loved her Pittsburgh Steelers and enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s ball games and was surely their number one fan.

She had played ball with each of them as they grew up in their early years. Lois is survived by her husband of 60 years Ralph W. Kilgore, Sr., a son Ralph W. Kilgore, Jr. (June) of North Apollo, and her daughter Cheryl McClain (Brian) of Leechburg. Four grandchildren that adored her, Katrina Kilgore of Pittsburgh, Karissa Kilgore (her husband Andy Harvilla) of Los Alamos New Mexico, Jacob Kilgore of Verona, and Caleb Kilgore (Amber) of Slippery Rock, Pa.

Arrangements for Lois have been entrusted to Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc.100 Owens Ave. Apollo, Pa 15613 friends will be received on Sunday, July 8, 2018 from 12pm to 4pm and 6 to 8pm. The Christian Service of Burial will be held at 11am July 9th, 2018 at the funeral home with final visitation an hour before the service.

The Service will be conducted by her Son, Messenger Ralph Kilgore, Jr. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Vandergrift Meals on Wheels P.O. Box 48 Vandergrift, Pa. 15690 or the Enduring Epilepsy Foundation 244 Boggs Ave. Pittsburgh, Pa.
