Obituary for James Jackson Jessee NEWPORT, TENNESSEE – James Jackson Jessee, 74, died Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Newport Medical Center, Newport, Tennessee. He was born in Castlewood, Virginia; son of the late Jackson Jessee and Ruth Jessee Watkins. He was preceded in death by his step mother, Verdie Jessee.

He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Catherine Jessee; one daughter, Lorri Ann Griffin and husband, James of Morristown, Tennessee; one son, James Brian Jessee of Knoxville, Tennessee; three grandchildren, James Branson Grffin and wife, Elizabeth, Catherine Lee Ann Griffin Skaggs, and Carley Jessee; two great grandchildren, Ainsley Griffin and Brantlee Griffin. Graveside Services and Interment for James Jackson Jessee will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2018 in Jessee Family Cemetery, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. James Lyttle officiating.
