Obituary for James William Foster Sr. James “Bill” William Foster Sr., 88, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. He was born March 19, 1930, in Franklin County to the late James Foster and Vera Sink. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Foster; second wife, Vera Foster; sisters, Mildred Goode and Lena Foster; brothers, William, Roy, and J. P. Foster; and granddaughter, Katy Bennett Joyce.

Mr. Foster is survived by his daughters, Nancy Arrington (Bobby), Marie Davis-Greenhill (David) and Brenda Hooper (Ray); sons, James “Billy” Foster, Jr. (Wilma), Johnny Foster (Connie Jones), and stepson Mike Sands (Freda); sisters Betty Lou Huff and Judy Hylton; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and special friends Mae Holley and James Hylton. The memorial service will be Friday, April 13, 2018 at 6:00 P. M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
