Jo (Waits) Ennis, 91, of Grantsville, MD, died Sunday, May 20, 2018, at Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, PA. Born November 5, 1926, in Ballenger, TX, she was the daughter of the late Newton Ernest and Edna Muriel (Gulley) Waits. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Ennis and one son, William Thomas Ennis, Jr

Mrs. Ennis was an interpreter for the deaf at Deaf.net and was a part-time missionary for Chosen People Ministries. She was a member of the Welsh Memorial Baptist and AARP. She is survived by two sons, John Mark Ennis, Washington, D.C. and David Ernest Ennis, St. Augustine, FL; 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Welsh Memorial Baptist Church, 19 Beall St., Frostburg, MD 21532, on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow in the church at 12:00 p.m. with the Rev. Joe Saweikis officiating. Interment will be in the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery, Rocky Gap, Flintstone, MD.
