Wyoming – Karen Sue Fletcher, 62, of Wyoming, passed away and she took the hand of Jesus at 11:07 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. Karen was born on January 7, 1956 in Peoria, the daughter of Richard G. and Marie M. (Elsasser) Seidel. Surviving are three sisters, Jean Metzger of Morton, Rita (Dr. Ralph) Seward of Peoria and Shirley (Dave) Bauman of Roland, AR; step-mother, Marlene Seidel of Peoria; step-sister, Marie (Adam) White… Read More » of Washington; three nephews, Trent and Scott Metzger and Trace Bauman; two step-nieces, Lauren Hoerr and Ava White; three step-nephews, Jordan, Ethan and Jared Hoerr; three great-nieces; and two great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, Dale Seidel; and brother-in-law, Jim Metzger. Karen received her LPN certification from Blackhawk College in Kewanee. She worked as an LPN at Proctor Hospital and the American Red Cross.

She last worked at Quality Cable and Components in Wyoming for 17 years. She loved her dogs, Snickers and Doodles and spending time gardening. Karen also enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Wyoming American Legion Post 91.

Her funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 30, 2018 at Haskell-Hott Funeral Homes in Princeville. Erik Givens will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the funeral home and also from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Princeville Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Princeville. Memorial contributions may be made to Wyoming Ambulance Service or Akron-Princeville Ambulance Service or Akron-Princeville Fire Department.
