Obituary of Marianne Julien Marianne Julien, 91, of Esville, our fun, social, and loving mother, Mimi, and friend was born into eternal life on the morning of March 6, 2018 with her family by her side. Marianne was born on January 27, 1927 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of the late Leo and Katherine (Meyer) Thome. Marianne graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1945 and went on to attend Beauty School.

On August 16, 1947, Marianne married the love of her life, Richard G. Julien – sadly he predeceased her in September of 1985. Together they shared 38 wonderful years, five children, and countless memories. Marianne retired from the Bay Medical Care Facility after 20 years.

She was a parishioner of St. Jude Thaddeus Parish (St. John the Evangelist Church) and for many years, she was a member of the Esville Women’s Club. She enjoyed going on family camping trips to Higgins Lake, getting ice cream, and loved spending time with her family and friends. Marianne leaves to cherish her memory, her four sons, Richard (Michelle) Julien, Fredric (Sharon) Julien, John (Wendy) Julien, and Chris (Sara) Julien; her one and only daughter and son-in-law, Joan and David Wayne; she was the loving Mimi to 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marianne was welcomed home to heaven by her siblings, James L Thome, Robert E. Thome, and Margaret Bekema. Marianne’s family will be present to receive visitors on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd. , Hampton Twp.

On Saturday, March 10, 2018, Marianne will be taken to St. Jude Thaddeus Parish (St. John the Evangelist Church) where visiting will continue from 10:00 AM until the time of her 11:00 AM Funeral Liturgy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at www.
