Obituary of Irene Mary Rzepa Irene Mary Rzepa, 85, of Bay City, our friendly, pleasant, and social friend was born into eternal life on the morning of Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Bay Medical Care Facility. Irene was born in Bay City on July 21, 1932, the only child of the late John and Pauline (Sobczak) Rzepa. She was a 1950 graduate of St. James High School and spent her career as the office manager of Haertel Heating & Cooling.

Throughout life, Irene was known for her love of traveling, and enjoyed trips to Germany. Irene was a lifelong parishioner of All Saints Parish (St. James Church) and enjoyed staying active with SVSU’s OLLI, where she enjoyed taking classes for personal enrichment. Irene’s active ways made her a familiar face at the YMCA, where she enjoyed working out.

Irene also enjoyed walking and socializing with her friends. Irene is survived by her two friends and St. James classmates, Mary Supernant, Elaine (Manuel) Finkbeiner, and their families. A special thanks to Barb Guerin, Irene’s devoted caregiver and advocate, along with the staff of McLaren Hospice and Bay Medical Care Facility for their compassionate care.

Irene’s Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 26, 2018 at All Saints Parish (St. James Church), 710 Columbus Ave. , Bay City. Fr.

Jose Maria Cabrera will officiate with the Rite of Committal to follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. Visiting will begin at 10:00 AM on Monday at church. Memorial contributions may be directed to All Saints Parish.
