Obituary of Roger John Rivard Roger John Rivard, 62, of Hampton Twp. , our kind, comical, generous, and loving husband, father, papa, brother, uncle, and friend was born into eternal life on the evening of April 29, 2018 with his family by his side. Roger was born on June 16, 1955, in Bay City, the son of the late Raymond and Victoria (Justa) Rivard.

Roger, who was also known as “Rog” or “Pup,” attended Visitation School and graduated from T.L. Handy High School. It was in school where he met the love of his life, the former Lynn Marie Fierens. They were united in marriage on April 14, 1975, together they shared over 43 years, three children, and countless memories.

Roger worked as a custodian for the Bay City Public Schools and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1010. Those who knew Roger, knew his love for watching sports, having a few cold ones with his buddies, and spending time up north at the family cabin in Lewiston. He was the best dad and papa around and will be missed dearly by all.

Roger leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Lynn; their children, Vicki (Tiffany Willett) Rivard, Daniel Rivard, Sarah (Kris Hodges) Rivard; grandchildren, Karlee (Jared) Fawley, Brayden Jacques, Anna Jacques, and Tiffany Cobb; great-grandson, Owen James Lee Fawley; siblings, Jim Rivard, Elaine (Dan) Dell, Don Rivard, and Geri (Mike) McComb; father-in-law, Richard Fierens; sisters-in-law, Kathy Fierens, Janet (Scott)McComb, and Joyce (Bill) Belger; brother-in-law, Jack (Debi) Fierens, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents, Roger was welcomed home to heaven by his siblings, Barbara Rivard, Tom Rivard, Frank Rivard, Gloria Rivard, Lorraine Kolka, and Bobby Rivard, along with his mother-in-law, Sally Fierens. Roger’s family will be present to receive visitors on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Eagles Aerie Prayer Ritual at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd.

, Hampton Twp. On Thursday, May 3, 2018, visiting will continue from 11:00 AM until Roger’s 1:00 PM Life Celebration. Fr.
