Obituary of John Lloyd Toland John Lloyd Toland, 65, of Hampton Twp. , our funny, stubborn, compassionate, and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend was born into eternal life on the morning of Friday, February 16, 2018 at McLaren – Flint. John was born in Bay City on September 28, 1952, the son of the late William and Leona (Kline) Toland.

John answered the call of our country, proudly serving in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, and was also a reservist. He was the former owner of Callahan’s Reef and the owner of John Toland’s Body Shop. Those who knew John will forever remember him for his love of golfing, shooting and hunting, fishing, camping, and boating on the Saginaw Bay.

On August 3, 1996, John was united in marriage to the former Lorraine “Tootie” Badour, who is left to carry on his legacy, along with his children: Robert Toland, Jamie (Mark) Cohoon, Jennifer (Jeff) Hildebrant, and Garrett (Streeana Jacobs) Toland; grandchildren, Katrina, Erica, Megan, Breanna, Caleb, Conner, Elizabeth, Jacob, and Joshua; great-grandson, Hendrix; siblings, Kendall Toland, Crystal (James) Samyn, and Bill (Kim Huntley) Toland; sisters-in-law, Diane Pilkowski, Carol (Jerry) Pudvan, Paulett (James) Jamrog, Mary (Albert) LaFond, and Jeannie Badour; brother-in-law, Richard (LeeAnn) Badour, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents, John was welcomed home to heaven by his brother, Archie Toland and in-laws, George and Dorothy (Haske) Badour. John’s family will be present to receive visitors on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd.

, Hampton Twp. On Tuesday, February 20, 2018, visiting will continue from 9:00 AM until the time of John’s 11:00 AM Life Celebration at the funeral home. Pastor Joe Atchinson will officiate with cremation to follow.
