Obituary of David Paul Beson David Paul Beson, 77, of Kawkawlin, our sincere, hardworking, and compassionate husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend was born into eternal life on the morning of April 6, 2018 with his family by his side. Dave was born on December 9, 1940 in Bay City, the son of the late Charles L. and Mary (Chambers) Beson. After graduating high school, Dave went on to study at Coyne College in Chicago, where he graduated from as an Electrician.

He worked at Saginaw Grey Iron Foundry and later, retired from GM – Powertrain in Bay City. At his 10 year reunion, Dave reconnected with the love of his life, the former Judith Bond. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on July 24, 1971.

Dave was a devout Catholic, belonged to the Knights of Columbus of Linwood, the local UAW, and was an active member in the Senior Olympics. Throughout life, Dave enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and fishing – most recently winning an award in the 2017 Senior Olympics for fishing. If you knew Dave, you knew his love for tinkering with things, especially if they had electrical issues.

He will be missed dearly. Dave leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 47 years, Judith; children, Lisa (Bruce) Lake and Kevin (Christine) Lee; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Rosemary Zube, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents, Dave was welcomed home to heaven by his son, Jim Beson; four brothers and one sister.

Dave’s family will be present to receive visitors on Monday, April 9, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a 5:30 PM Vigil, Bible, and Chalice Presentation at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd. , Hampton Twp. On Tuesday, April 10, 2018, Dave will be taken to St. Catherine of Siena Parish (St. Vincent De Paul Church), 2596 E. North Union Rd.

, Bay City, where visiting will continue from 10:00 AM until the time of his 11:00 AM Memorial Liturgy. Fr. John Sarge will officiate with the Rite of Committal to be held privately in St. Patrick Cemetery.
