Obituary of John Joseph “Joe” MacGregor John Joseph “Joe” MacGregor, 80, of Bay City, our hard working, proud, loving, and devoted, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend was born into eternal life on March 15, 2018. Joe was born on June 8, 1937 in Bay City, the son of the late John Robert and Marcelline (Sauve) MacGregor. Joe graduated from Handy High School, class of 1955.

While at the local Varsity Drive In, Joe met the love of his life, the former Carolle DeLorge. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on November 7, 1959. Together they shared over 58 years together, three sons, and countless memories.

Joe worked for many years at Bender’s, went on to be a Maintenance Supervisor at Heileman Brewery of Frankenmuth, and later retired from Dean’s Foods. He was a Boy Scout Leader and coached little league baseball. Throughout life, Joe loved woodworking, traveling, camping trips, and fishing.

He will be missed dearly. Left to cherish his memory, is his wife, Carolle; his three sons, John Joseph MacGregor II, Timothy (Marcy) MacGregor, and Greg (Katie) MacGregor; grandchildren, John Joseph (Cori) MacGregor III, Bethany (Tom) Reade, Ryan Mann, and Jarret Mann; great-grandchildren, Aidan, Mackenzie, Evelyn, Fiona, and Charleigh; his brother, Gary MacGregor, along with many friends. In addition to his parents, Joe was welcomed home to heaven by his brother, Ron MacGregor.

Private arrangements have been entrusted to Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd. , Hampton Twp. Private interment will be held at St. Patrick Cemetery.
