Marlene M. (Riedy) Taylor, 44, of Sandusky, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018 in Firelands Regional Medical Center after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on December 23, 1973 in Sandusky to the late Arthur and Madeline (Sharkey) Riedy. She attended Perkins High School.

A homemaker, Marlene lived to care for her family. More than anything, she loved her family, especially her granddaughter. You could also find her outside, enjoying nature and everything being outside has to offer, including fishing.

Marlene is survived by her children, Mariah (Keenan Jones) Riedy, of Sandusky, Dalten (Allie Eberhart) Taylor, of Cuyahoga Falls, Gabby (Charlie Fowler) Taylor, of Cleveland, and Deven Taylor, of Sandusky; granddaughter, Amirah Stokes; brothers, Troy (Kim a’lee) Riedy and Lee (Tracey) Riedy, both of Sandusky; nieces and nephews, Candace, Justin, Kyle, and Dawson; and many other relatives and friends. It was Marlene’s wish to be cremated. Friends may call from 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 17 until memorial services begin at 6 p.m. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave.

, Sandusky. Rev. Rusty Yost will officiate.

A gathering will follow in the adjacent Toft Event Room. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to help Marlene’s family, in care of the funeral home. Condolences and donations may be shared with the family by visiting toftfuneralhome.com.
