Melody F. Jones, 54, of Kewanee, died Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 7:05 am on a Conquest Carnival Cruise. Melody was born June 8, 1963 in Streator, IL, the daughter of Glenn and Marie (Hebert) Shaner. Melody graduated from Neponset High School and obtained her Associate Degree from Black Hawk East.

Melody is survived by her dad, Glenn; two daughters, Ashley (Willeum) Boykin, Kankakee, IL, Felica (Brian) McVicker, Kewanee, IL; two sons, Michael Jones, Kewanee, IL, Jonathan (Whitley Gregoire)… Read More » Jones, Morton, IL; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Shaner. Melody was a Customer Service Manager for Wal-Mart.

Melody loved going on cruises every two years and loved a good deal. She loved her animals; her dog and her snake, and her horses when she was growing up. She enjoyed keeping up with Facebook friends and playing the games.

She especially loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Services are pending with Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home.
