Family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, February 1, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Crowder with Rev.

Terry Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Ash Creek Cemetery in Blocker. Ola Mae Parker was born on November 22, 1931 in McNally, Oklahoma to Thomas Hines and Lorene (McCarley) Duff.

She married Willie Daniel Parker on August 11, 1947 in McAlester. She began her postal career as Postmaster in April 1962 at Blocker, Oklahoma. Retired as Postmaster in Crowder, Oklahoma in June 1992 after 30 years of postal service.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Crowder, the Retired Postmaster Association (NAPUS) and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #79 in McAlester. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Billie Sue and Alvin Nixon; Janet and Gary Brooks; grandchildren and spouses, Willetta and Rodger Sims, Cleola and Tommy McDougal, Denise and Dewayne Rippee, Daniel and Anne Brooks, Benny and Tina Brooks; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Woody Foster, Ethan Brooks, Abbi Brooks, Jonathan Rippee and Jenna Rippee; Amelia Brooks and Adelynne Brooks; sister, Nancy Jameson and a special friend, Wanda Brooks. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willie Daniel Parker on April 12, 2001 and a brother, Thomas Duff.

Active pallbearers will be Rodger Sims, Tommy McDougal, Dewayne Rippee, Daniel Brooks, Benny Brooks and Ethan Brooks. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Parker, Ron Gragg and Woody Foster.
