Pauline Wallace,88, of Pleasant Grove a former Joplin, Mo. resident, passed away after a recent illness April 22, 2018 in American Fork, Utah. She was born in Layton, Utah, to Henry S Smedley and LaVerna N. Thornley.

She married Richard Wallace April 20,1950 in the Salt Lake Temple. She was a lifelong devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints. She loved serving as a teacher and in various leadership positions.

She also loved serving in the Dallas Temple, St Louis, Mo. Temple, Oklahoma City, Okla. Temple, and Ogden, Utah Temple, as an ordinance worker.

Pauline is survived by daughters, Debra (Gary) Lewis, of Spring, Texas, Wendie (Mike) Dunaway, of Pleasant Grove, Utah, Kristie (the late Martin) Gove, of Chandler Ariz. ; and son, Rick (Susan), of Neosho, Mo. She leaves a posterity of 21 grandchildren, 33 great- grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.

Preceded in death by her husband, Richard Wallace; daughter, Evelyn Clark (Brad still living); great-granddaughter, Ocean Dunaway. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 30, 2018 at 11 a.m., in the LDS Chapel located at, 22nd and Indiana, Joplin, MO. Friends and family may attend a visitation from 6-8 p.m. Sunday evening at Parker Mortuary, Joplin, MO.
