Richard Lee Stough, 75, of Brazil, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018 in his residence. He was born on September 21, 1942, the son of Andrew F. Stough and Helen M. Dickerson Stough. Richard graduated in 1960 from Brazil Senior High School and later joined the United States Army.

He enjoyed feeding the squirrels, rabbits and deer in addition to working in his yard and garden. Richard was an avid NASCAR fan and would watch or attend many races cheering on his favorite driver, Chase Elliott, #9. Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Knox and her husband, Brent of Bowling Green; 4 grandchildren, Jeffrey Stough Jr., Billy Wyatt Croy, Jade Knox and Ashlynn Benton; one great-grand daughter, Kaelynn Benton; a brother John F. Stough and his wife, Rita of Brazil; a special friend, Connie Robison of Brazil; and his beloved Golden Retriever “My Boy”, Chase.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Jeffrey Lee Stough. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Monday, September 17, 2018 in French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Ave. with Pastor Larry Richmond officiating.

Burial will be in Union Cemetery with military graveside rites. Visitation is scheduled on Monday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM in the funeral home. To light a candle in his memory, visit: www.
