Robert Raymond “Ray” Dodds, 84 HARTFORD CITY – Robert Raymond “Ray” Dodds, 84, passed away at 10:58 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2018 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born in Hartford City on December 24, 1933 to Palmer J. and Gertrude (Blake) Dodds. His parents are deceased.

Ray graduated from Hartford City High School in 1953. He married Donna Faye (Fenner) on November 27, 1954 at the Nazarene Church in Hartford City. He retired from Indiana Glass in Dunkirk after… Read More » 18 years of service and was a member of Local 501 Flint Glass Workers Union.

Ray enjoyed flowers, scanners and radios, in 2015 he became the oldest person in Indiana to receive his Ham Radio operator license. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Donna F. Dodds of Hartford City; children, Lou Ann Shull of Hartford City, Lori Raylene (husband, Mark) Elliott of Montpelier, Robert “Bob” R. (wife, Jodi) Dodds, Jr. of Hartford City and Lisa R. (husband, Bobby) Wilson of Kendallville; grandchildren, Rae Ann Shull, Billy Shull, Marcus Elliott, Adam Dodds, Amy Dodds and Raun Tilson; great-grandchildren, Lydia Dodds, Olivia Faye Dodds, Mason Robert Dodds and Pyrrha Bell Tilson; several nieces and nephews. He is also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Megan F. Tilson, brother, Carl R. Dodds, sisters, Ruth Mary Shaffer, Nancy Ann Robbins and Linda Lou Turner.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St., Hartford City with Rev. Lloyd Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Hartford City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2018 and from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Keplinger Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to www.
