Obituary for Ruth E. Knapp Ruth E. Knapp, a longtime area resident, passed away at Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing on April 21, 2018. She was 73 years old. Ruth was born in Bergen, Norway on June 18, 1944, the daughter of the late Finn and Erna Aase Nilsen.

Ruth is survived by her son, Doug Knapp; her granddaughter, Breanna; her brother, Finn Nilsen and his wife, Vivian; her sister, Sonja Horend; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Ruth was predeceased by her daughter, Susan Knapp. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 28 at 11 a.m. at Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, 2 Beekman Street, Beacon.
