Obituary for Phoebe M. Jackson Phoebe M. Jackson, 84 a longtime resident of Beacon, passed away on June 10, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. Phoebe was born in Fishkill on February 6, 1934, the daughter of the late Elijah DeWitt Smith and Daisey Daniels Smith. Phoebe married Frank E. Jackson in 1957 at St. Joachim Church in Beacon.

Frank predeceased her in 2015. She worked as a dental assistant and also at NY Rubber before she started her family. She took great pride in being a wife and mother.

Phoebe is survived by her son, Francis E. Jackson of Beacon and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Phoebe was predeceased by her brothers, Vernon and Edgar Smith. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations in memory of Phoebe may be made to either the American Heart Association, www. heart.org or to the American Kidney Fund, www. kidneyfund.org.
