Teresa Cavallo January 16, 1932 – January 02, 2019 Share this obituary Local Florists View/Sign Guest Book WATERTOWN Teresa Cavallo “Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother & Sister” Mrs. Teresa (Verrone) Cavallo, 86, of Watertown, was reunited with her husband in heaven on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at the Apple Rehabilitation Center in Watertown. She was the loving wife of the late Roberto Cavallo. Teresa was born in Ogliastro, Marina, Italy on January 16, 1932, daughter of the late Angelo Luigi and Angela (Verrone) Verrone.
Teresa and her husband Roberto started Cavallo Imported Foods on East Main Street in Waterbury. Her homemade food and baked goods were always available at the store for their customers. She was a patient woman with a big heart and always put everybody else first.
She loved being surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren and always loved to cook and bake for them. Teresa leaves behind to cherish her memory her six children; Maria Mancini and her husband Mario “Giuseppe” of Watertown, Angela Gugliotti of Oakville, Santuccio Cavallo and his wife Victoria of Watertown, Luigi Cavallo and his wife Marisa of Watertown, Robert F. Cavallo and his wife Goia of Prospect, and Sylvia Mancini and her husband Aldo of Watertown. She also leaves behind her siblings; Costabile Verrone of Brazil, Francisco Verrone of Italy, Luisa Verrone of Italy, Carmela Verrone of Brazil, her nineteen grandchildren; Ann Marie Mancini-Reihl, Joseph Mancini, Nicholas Mancini, Michael Mancini, Giovanni Gugliotti, Theresa Vaichus, Barbara Gugliotti, Cristina Gugliotti, Diana Reihl, Roberto S. Cavallo, Michelle Thibodeau, Luigi Cavallo Jr., Victoria Cavallo, Nicholas Cavallo, Robert J. Cavallo, Jenna Cavallo, Erica Mancini, Marc Mancini, Jordan Mancini, twelve great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sisters Immacolata Verrone, Maddalena Verrone, her brother Vincenzo Verrone and her son-in-law, Giovanni F. Gugliotti. Teresa’s family would like to express how extremely grateful they are to everyone at Apple Rehabilitation Center in Watertown for going above and beyond with their exceptional compassion, care and comfort they showed to her, as well as her roommate, Maria Cipriano and her family for their kindness and love towards Teresa. Arrangements: A funeral will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2018, 9:15 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial, The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, to St. John the Evangelist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Mt.
Olivet Cemetery’s Mausoleum. Calling hours will be held on Friday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
