Terrance Eugene “Terry” Rockwood, 67, a resident of the Vernonia community, died Wednesday, April 16, 2018 at his home. Private Cremation Rites were held at the Hoyt Crematory in Forest Grove. TERRANCE EUGENE “TERRY” ROCKWOOD was born December 6, 1950 in Hoquiam, Washington the son of the late Ernest Rockwood and Clara Florence (Ellington) Rockwood.

He was raised and received his education in the Portland area, graduating from Jackson High School in 1969. Terry served two years in the U.S. Navy following his high school graduation and attended Portland Community College. Terry was united in marriage to Diana Lynne (Habecker) Erickson on April 24, 2010 at the Foursquare Church in Vernonia, Oregon.

They celebrated their 8th Wedding Anniversary this past April. Following their marriage, they continued to reside in Vernonia. Terry had worked as a machinist, until he retired.

His special interests included playing his guitar, riding his motorcycle, camping, and especially working in his yard. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Clara Rockwood; and his two brothers, Dale Rockwood and Michael Rockwood. Survivors include his wife, Diana Rockwood, of the family home in Vernonia, Oregon; his three children/step-children and their spouses, Angela and Charles Mumford, of Berlin, Maryland; Lane and Chelsea Erickson, of Sheridan, Oregon and Anna Mullins, of Vernonia, Oregon.

Also surviving are his brother and sister-in-law, Pat and Sharon Rockwood of Vernonia, Oregon; his sister and brother-in-law, Diana and Don Hennig of Scappoose, Oregon; his five grandchildren; one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. The family suggests that remembrances may be contributions to the American Cancer Society, 0330 SW Curry St, Portland, OR 97239, in his memory.
