Alan Emerson Jackson, 76, of Clay City passed away on Friday September 28, 2018 in Cloverleaf Healthcare in Brazil. He was born in Clay City on January 21, 1942, the son of Roy Jackson and Naomi Ernestine Dierdorff Jackson. Alan was a retired Mechanic and Heavy Machine Operator with Peabody Coal Company for 23 years.

He was an avid arrowhead collector. Survivors include his loving wife of 15 years, Leealla Klass Jackson; his daughter, Linda Jackson (Howard McDonald); a brother, Marvin Jackson (Connie); step-sons, Jay Grafe (Linda) and Steve Grafe (Jeannie); grandchildren, Jeremy and Derek Smith; step-grandsons, Logan Jukes, Lauren Grafe, Jeremy Vossen and Savannah Grafe; great-grandchildren, Alex, AJ Smith and Karsyn Jukes; and many nieces and nephews. Alan was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Ruth Rollison Jackson; brothers, Lee, Joe and Darrell Jackson; and a sister, Phyllis Lints.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday October 2, 2018 in Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 301 E. 8th Street, Clay City with Pastor Clarabell Jukes officiating. Burial will be in Fiscus Cemetery, Coal City. Visitation is scheduled from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the funeral home.
