Anita Kay Lee, 76 HARTFORD CITY – Anita Kay Lee, 76, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018 at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Portland on September 24, 1941 to Gearald and Ruth (Jellison) Sanders. Both her parents preceded her in death.

Anita graduated from Portland High School in 1959. She married Carl Edward Lee in the Portland Baptist Church 57 years ago. She retired from the Hartford City News-Times and loved flowers and enjoyed traveling.

(husband, Claude) Thurston of Marion; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brother, James Sanders of Portland; several nieces and nephews. She will be cremated and there will be no visitation or services.
