Anthony S. “The Kisser” Pelosi July 24, 1949 – January 22, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book WATERTOWN Anthony S. “Tony” Pelosi “The Infamous, Tony the Kisser” Anthony (Tony) Salvatore “The Kisser” Pelosi, 69, of Watertown, went home to the lord in the arms of his wife on January 22, 2019, in the comfort of his home with his loving family. He was the loving husband for over 47 years to Donna (Izzi) Pelosi. Tony was born in Waterbury on July 24, 1949, son of the late Antonio and Adeline (Cerullo) Pelosi.
He attended Webster Grammar School, graduated from Wilby High School, class of 1967 and Sacred Heart University, class of 1971. He then served six years in the CT National Guard. He started working in the construction industry in 1972 and formed his own company, Waterbury Concrete Foundations in 1988 until his retirement in 2000.
His employees were like a family to him and he always said they were the reason his company thrived. Tony loved and lived life to the fullest. He had many friends including some friendships that dated back to grammar school.
He was a true and loyal friend and was always there to lend a helping hand. He will be remembered for his generosity to anyone that needed help. Some of his favorite times were spent on his motorcycle and his week long trips with his motorcycle riding friends, golfing at the Watertown Golf Club, along with the many golfing trips, his Thursday night dinner crew and just driving his Corvette and listening to music.
His music collection would be the envy of any music lover. He was very proud of his Italian heritage and kept alive the many traditions passed down from his parents. His greatest joy in his life was his family.
He adored his daughters, Allison Curtiss and her husband Jerry and their two children, Jerry and Adelynn, whom he called his princess and Jenna Barbino and her husband Nick. Some of his favorite times were summer vacations in Wildwood Crest, trips to Aruba, California, Ocean Cruises or just having Sunday dinners with the family. Most recently, the three amigos took his favorite trip, a road trip from Chicago to California on Rt.
66. Besides his wife and children, Tony leaves behind to cherish his memory his brother, Martino “Marty” Pelosi and his wife Kelly and their three children, Kaitlyn Long and her husband Ken and their son Henry of Norwalk, Martino Pelosi Jr. and Bella of Watertown, his niece, Dyan Johnson and her husband Erik and their two chidren, Cody and Sadie of California, his sister-in-law Karen Izzi of California and several cousins and too many friends to mention. Oh, and of course, his pugs, Salvatore and Rocco and grand dog, Cody.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Mary Lou Pelosi, his brother Marino Pelosi, his niece Sheila Pelosi and his nephew Tony Pelosi. In appreciation for the wonderful care given to Tony during his illness, his family would like to thank, Smilow Cancer Hospital, especially Dr. Hyun Kim, Dr. Mario Strazzabosco, Dr. Stacey Stein, Alfredo Axtmayer APRN and the Connecticut Hospice, especially his nurse, Rebecca. Arrangements: A funeral will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019, 8:45 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial, The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury to Blessed Sacrament Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt.
Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 – 7 p.m. Friday evening.
