Maria Alice Pinto October 18, 1942 – January 06, 2019 Share this obituary Local Florists View/Sign Guest Book Waterbury Maria Alice Pinto “Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother” Mrs. Maria Alice (Fonseca) Pinto, 76, of Waterbury, entered into the Gates of Heaven on Sunday January 6, 2019 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Henrique O. Pinto. Alice was born in Vila do Mato, Portugal on October 18 1942, daughter of the late Ernesto and Isilda (Morais) Fonseca.

She settled to Waterbury from Portugal in 1966. She worked at Waterbury Buckle and ITW over 20 years until her retirement in 2004. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, close friends and her grandchildren. Besides her husband Henrique of 50 years she leaves, a son, Antonio “Paulo” Pinto of Plano, TX, a daughter, Lisa Silva and her husband Americo of Naugatuck, 3 brothers, Antonio Fonseca and his wife Ilda and Hamilton Fonseca and his wife Maria da Cruz all of Portugal and Jaime Fonseca and his wife Maria Alice of Waterbury, 3 sisters-in-law, Ercilia Lourenco and her husband Mario of Portugal, Maria do Carma Alves and her husband Jose Alves of Waterbury and Manuela Marques and her husband Valdemar of South Windsor, 2 grandchildren, Ethan Silva and Ava Silva both of Naugatuck and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday January 11, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Waterbury, Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church.
