D’Occhio “Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother” Janet B. (Keith) D’Occhio, 76, of Waterbury, entered into the gates of heaven on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Joseph O. D’Occhio of 55 years. Janet was born in Waterbury on August 31, 1942, daughter of the late Ronald and Leta (Adams) Keith.

She worked for American Electro Terminal (AET) for 25 years and the City of Waterbury Department of Education until her retirement in 2012. Janet loved to sew, enjoyed frequenting the casino, going to the beach, laying by the pool, Glenbrook Nights with Dick Cyr and the Rhythmaires and baking the best cookies ever. Her family meant everything to her and she absolutely adored attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting events.

She was their number one fan. Besides her husband Joe, Janet leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children; Christopher A. D’Occhio and his wife Joanne of Waterbury, Lori Bauchiero and her husband David of Southington, and Rosanne Tiso and Bob, Janet’s beloved son-in-law of Wolcott. She also leaves behind her sister, Marilyn Guerrera and her husband Michael of Waterbury, two sisters-in-law, Anna Keith of Thomaston and Rosemarie Hunt and her husband John of Ohio, her nine grandchildren; Shannon Tiso-Bosco and her husband, Anthony, Bobby Tiso, David Bauchiero III and his wife Lynn, Lauren Bauchiero and her significant other Aaron Markure, Dillon & Dean Bauchiero, Sgt.

Christopher D’Occhio of the U.S. Army and Milla, Rachel D’Occhio, Samantha D’Occhio, her soon to be great grandchild, her step-granddaughter Jill Miklinevich as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Richard Keith and her step-granddaughter, Aimee Miklinevich. Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 7th, 2019, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Waterbury.

Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Sunday afternoon from 2 – 5 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial, The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury.
